Privacy Policy
How Blissful4you collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information.
Template – not legal advice. This policy was generated as a starting point. Obtain professional legal/privacy advice and tailor it to your business before relying on it. Version 1.0.
1. About this policy
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and other laws that apply to us. Some of the information we handle, such as information about a person’s disability or health, is sensitive information and receives extra protection.
2. What we collect
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number and preferred contact method.
- Trip details: pickup and destination addresses, dates and times, and trip history.
- Accessibility and mobility information needed to provide safe transport (for example mobility aids or help required).
- Emergency contact details, and support coordinator or provider details (with your consent).
- Your NDIS participant number – only if we need it to invoice your plan. It is stored encrypted.
- Messages you send to our support team, and incident records where something goes wrong.
- For drivers: employment and qualification records, and the location of their device while they are online and running a trip.
3. Why we collect it
To arrange and provide transport, match the right vehicle and driver, keep people safe, communicate with you, keep accurate trip and billing records, manage incidents and complaints, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Who we share it with
- Your assigned driver – only the details needed for your trip.
- Our operations and support staff – according to their role.
- Your support coordinator, plan manager or provider – where you have consented or it is needed to deliver or invoice the service.
- Service providers who help us run the platform, such as website hosting, email delivery and mapping/address-lookup services. Some of these may store or process data outside Australia. [List providers and countries.]
- Authorities where required or authorised by law (for example the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, police or emergency services).
5. Location information
During a trip, the driver’s device shares its location so that our team can manage the service and the client can see their own driver. Clients can only see the driver assigned to their active trip. We do not track clients’ locations. Driver location history is deleted after 90 days unless we need it for an incident or dispute.
6. How we protect it
We use role-based access, encrypted connections, encryption of NDIS numbers, access logging and staff training. No system is completely secure; if a data breach is likely to cause serious harm we will respond in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
7. How long we keep it
We keep records for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal record-keeping requirements. [Insert your retention periods.]
8. Access and correction
You can ask for access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. You can update many details yourself in your dashboard, or contact us.
9. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handled your information, contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). Concerns about NDIS services can also be raised with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
